3.3 patch and where to buy a wow account for it
16th December 2009
Hey everyone!
Sorry I’ve been out of touch for a while. Things got a little hectic in the store, so I had to take a bit of a break from writing to get everything under control again. I won’t bore you with the details, but sometimes running a business isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Thankfully, things have settled down and everything is back to normal. Plus, it’s winter, so I have every excuse I could want to stay inside gaming.
In other, more pressing news the 3.3 patch just dropped last week and it’s looking fantastic! The new bosses alone are reason enough to play. Lots of my regulars are really stoked to play, although the leveling is daunting. One guy, relatively new to the place, was wondering what it would take to get himself to 80 without sinking months into it. He’s worried that they’ll release the next expansion before he even gets to finish this one!
So, I recommended that he try buying an account instead of burning valuable time building one himself. Depending on what he buys, he can do just about anything he wants. He wanted to know if I knew of any places where he could do this safely. Since last post, I haven’t had a whole lot of time to search, but a quick look around google told me that lots of places have cropped up offering accounts. Some look pretty shady, some not so much, but are so new that I just can’t bring myself to recommend them. In the end, I figured it would be best to play it safe and go with a company I already trust, so I steered him to Toonstorm. I’ve mentioned them here several times before because of their awesome service and pricing. It seems that hasn’t changed much in the last few months, either. He was wanting a paladin and those are going for around $200 right now, which is really good. Of course the higher priced ones come with better gear, so there’s plenty of room for a personal touch.
He said he would try it out and let me know just what happens. I’ll post that here next time. Plus, I’ll start reviewing some places with different criteria, like I mentioned before.
Until later!
WoW Accounts Discounted
1st June 2009
Hello everyone!
The weather is warm the sun is shining and I have to admit I’ve been doing lots of outside stuff the past few weeks. This weekend , however, I got a mighty wicked sunburn so that means I’m going to need to stay inside a bit
I’ve got a cousin who recently moved to town; he’s 5 years younger than me so we don’t have a lot in common, but we do both play WoW!
He plays on dawnbringer (horde) and has a level 80 shaman, and while I could easily move my character over there to play with him I’d have to leave my guild and a few 2 year + relationships behind – and that’s not something I want to do.
So this week it’s actually going to be me performing the account purchase, not looking over a shoulder, not wondering what someone else has going on, me me me
I like to play healer classes so I think I’m going to pick up something I can dual spec but start out strong as a support character, so let me google a few things I’m looking for. The Holy priest class has a lot of offerings on the buy wow account page of toonstorm. Depending upon gear the prices have a pretty broad range, I like to piece my own sets together so I think I’ll go with something low end and fix it up.
There’s a perfect healer account listed for 225 that’s got reasonable armor, starts with 5k wow gold, has an epic flying mount, and professions I’m happy with.
I’m going to buy the account now with paypal and hop into live chat, they usually want some kind of contact to kick-start he process anyway, and usually jumping in live chat is a great way to do that!
I’ve been told the process will take about 1 hour and that I should expect an email shortly after that with the details. The account is being moved to a new account so I’m certain it’s safe and won’t be taken back from me at a later date.
Ok about 1 hour and 20 minutes has passed and my email box just ding’d! There is it! I’m logging in now to confirm all the stats and the details – yup those are good to go, gold is on the account, and my cousin will be pleased!
Great purchase and it went very smoothly for a very reasonable price.
Thanks for reading and I’ll track down someone else to do a buy soon! Thanks guys!
Buy WoW Accounts In a 3.1 Patch World
30th April 2009
It’s been a great month 3.1 finally came out and I and everyone I know has been living it up in Ulduar!
Something I’ve come to realize since I started this blog, and paying attention to people/characters and who’s buying wow accounts, is that different people expect and look for very different things when they buy wow account.
Case and point:!
I had a guy come into my shop earlier this week and we got to talking about wow accounts and he said he had leveled a few characters up to around 55 but was really just looking to pickup a nice decked out level 80.
So of course I mention Toonstorm to him, it’s a site we’ve suggested before and they’ve got a big selection – something he could use.
He asked me if they ever scam;
I replied; “Toonstorm Scam?” “ha!”
As ridiculous as it was to me it was a very real concern to him because he hadn’t purchased anything like that before. So I classify this guy as someone who would be interested in buying but under normal circumstances would find it very difficult to find a safe secure place to buy them. So of course I try to tailor the blog to fit the needs of people who have those generalized questions about the process and who to trust; and in fact I have shaped the blog to a large extent to cater to those people.
Now that’s just one example – I also spent 2 hours last night raiding with my guild (They’re local so we shoot the poop afterwards normally) and found out afterwards that 2 of the guys have gone through a few different accounts and are regulars at buying – and they look for a whole different set of criteria than the first guy! These guys are pro’s and totally know who’s safe and who isn’t. They have a few sites they frequent and specifically look for specs and builds that they think they’d enjoy playing and when the price seems right they snatch the account up. These guys might be a little to advanced for me to try and make this blog appeal to them but it’d be exciting to write about. The point is I realized there’s a few different types of wow account buyers and in the future I’m going to be trying to expand the scope of the blog to include some other aspects other than purchasing safely, ie purchasing safely and cheaply, purchasing safely and choosing from a larger selection etc.
We’ll see how I fair!
Thanks for ready and stay tuned for the next one!
Quality Family gaming time!
17th March 2009
Afternoon again Gamers!
Once again, it has been a few weeks since our last WoW account store review. Life, work and family have been keeping me pretty busy. I was recently able to acquire another gaming capable computer for my household, so I determined it was time to get my 8 year old daughter her own account, so we could group up together, thus bringing you another buy WoW account review.
I went on the web, and did some research on various WoW account sellers. I am on a limited budget, so cost was a major factor in my decision on where to buy, but I didn’t want to forsake safety just to save a few dollars. After spending a couple hours browsing and researching various sites, I settled on toonstorm.com again. Since this was going to be a character/account for my 8 year old daughter, safety was a huge concern, as I didn’t want to end up needing to explain to her why she wasn’t able to play her character anymore, should the unthinkable happen.
Like most girls her age, she enjoys “girlie” things, and that extends to the races she’s picked to play in the past, she has also rather enjoyed playing my Warlock. Since the majority of my characters are horde, I went in search of a Blood Elf Warlock that was around level 60-70. I found a couple. One was level 70 with some great equipment, and epic riding skill, on sale for about $250, the other was level 61, with decent gear on sale for $140. Since this character was going to be used by my 8 year old, having super good gear wasn’t essential, so I settled on the less expensive $140.
Placed my order around 2 in the afternoon, and as in previous transactions with toonstorm.com, I was contacted quickly by their CS to verify my order, who went through all the steps with me to complete the transaction, and by the time my daughter was home from school that afternoon around 3:30, everything was all set up and ready to go, and we played the evening away once she was finished with her homework!
Again, toonstorm.com has come through with first rate service, in both quality and speed. I surely plan on continuing to recommend them to family and friends, or anyone really who is looking to purchase a WoW account.
It’s Tax return Time!
27th February 2009
Afternoon Fellow Gamers!
It’s been a while again. Work and family has been keeping me pretty busy lately, not really leaving a large amount of time for doing much in WOW, except raiding. My guild was doing fairly well for a while, until our only Shaman stopped playing due to that netherworld called “Real Life”. It quickly became apparent that he would not be returning anytime soon, so I decided to take the opportunity to spend a bit of my hard earned income tax return, and go looking for a new WOW account with a Shaman that I could bring along on raids to help my guild out.
In the past, toonstorm.com has always had great prices when I’ve checked them out, and my buddies bought through them recently, they had nothing bad to say about them. I headed over there to see check on the prices, and boy, was I surprised. They were having a *HUGE* sale on WOW Accounts! 40-70% off their normal prices, more bang for my buck, what sane person would pass up a deal like that?
After looking around for a while, I finally settled on a Level 80 Draenei Shaman. She came equipped with eleven Epics, had epic flying skill, and her Alchemy and herbalism skills were both over 420. The original cost of buying that character was $1k, but with the sale they are having, I only paid $500!!
The order process was very smooth; I placed my order, and very quickly was on the phone with a courteous CS rep verifying my order. Since this wasn’t the first time I had bought an account through them, I already knew what to expect throughout the process, so there was no need for them to go into a detailed explanation. They let me know if I did have any questions or problems, that I was welcome to contact them at any time. We finished the order process through the live help chat, and twenty minutes later, I was online, checking out my new Shammy!
The CS staff so far has been very well-mannered and knowledgeable. The speed with which I and others I’ve sent their way have gotten our new accounts, is unparalleled. The safety measures that Toonstorm.com has in place to protect you I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere else. I won’t hesitate to recommend them in the future to friends and family looking to buy a WOW account!!
Quality WoW Accounts
31st January 2009
Hey guys and gals,
Well, it’s been a while—lots of other stuff going on here—but I’m back and better than ever. If you’re new to the blog, and you’re looking for information on buying WoW accounts, you have come to the right place! You should check out my latest review in the post below; I checked out a site called Toonstorm.com with a couple guys who were looking for a good place to buy WoW account. We were all impressed by the customer service, the selection of accounts to choose from, and the prices. The guys have been enjoying their new accounts and haven’t had any problems. I think I can confidently recommend this site to you, based on our experience.
Speaking of Toonstorm, one thing I really liked about them when we were looking for accounts was the quality of the accounts they had available. Even with a budget of only $250 each, the guys found what they wanted and were surprised at the quality of the gear. Some care was given to making the accounts well worth the money, unlike some other sites I’ve seen, which just give you the bare minimum and equipment running the gamut from common to total crap.
I should be checking in sooner next time with more tips, tricks, and info on where to buy your WoW accounts, so come back soon!
Buy WoW Accounts on a budget
15th January 2009
Have you heard?
About the bird…bird bird bird..
Anyway!
So with the recent patch Warlocks can now use polearms, there’s some new stuff going on for mining (Yay) and some other small things that didn’t mean much to me but seemed pretty cool.
I have never played a Warlock before, although I notice many of the wow accounts for sale that are warlocks are usually a little cheaper. I suspect there’s an abundance of them and that drives the price down – but what do I know?
I’ve had some new guys come in recently; they were actually warcraft rts players a while back, but have never tried WoW; luckily for them they had a friend who brought them to one of our raid nights here at the shop; and they both seem pretty addicted. They sat and watched for a good hour or two and jumped on a bit on friends accounts.
I think we’ve got a few more converts folks
Needless to say I ended up telling them both about the blog and what we normally do, they want to buy an account and share it here at the shop. They’ve got about 250 to spend and want something that will give them good gear, and let them start raiding and pvping right away.
So the three of us sat down, surfed a few wow account sites and eventually landed on Toonstorm.com. They’ve got a pretty big selection and for 250$ they found a pretty darn nice account.
They’re using a credit card on paypal to pay for the account and are having it transfered over to a new account so they’re sure the character is actually theirs.
First they spent about 10 minutes in live help chat with one of the customer service guys there; he gave them a real nice walk through on everything they would need to do.
The whole process took under an hour, and they’re set up and ready to start playing.
I’m happy that we got them set up and I’m happy that Toonstorm.com came through for them.
They seem like a great place to buy wow account.
TOONSTORM OFFERING LEVEL 70 & 80 ACCOUNTS FOR WOTLK
6th January 2009
Welcome back, gamers!
I must confess, money has been a little tight since Christmas (I have a large extended family, hehe) so I haven’t put together the extra scratch to try a new service yet, but I recently checked in with one I have tried and liked, a site called Toonstorm.com. It looks like you can now buy WoW account with level 70′s and even 80′s so you can access all the end-game stuff in the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
(By the way: If you haven’t got the expansion yet, GO GET IT. It’s everything it’s cracked up to be, in fact I think it’s a little better than that.
I have been playing the hell out of my level 70 (now at 73) so I can get into Naxxramas, but it’s slooooow going at these upper levels. So if you can afford it and you want to skip right to the good stuff, now you can.)
Of course they also have lower level accounts, in all classes and races with varying degrees of good gear (depends what you want to pay really) so there should be something for everyone. Let us know if you end up buying an account there, we’d love to hear your feedback as well. Till next time, adios!
Don’t Get Banned For Buying WoW Accounts—Here’s How to Do It Safely
18th December 2008
Okay, so if you’re considering buying a WoW account you have probably heard many of the same horror stories I have—people losing hundreds of dollars on scams, or worse yet getting banned by Blizzard and losing everything they’ve built on their own account—level 70′s, epic gear…..ouch! So naturally you don’t want that to happen to you. I want to help make sure you don’t end up as one of those horror stories, and so I’ve decided to compile for you a few tips on buying WoW accounts safely.
1. Look for the best, most trusted online retailers. Don’t buy an account from Joe Schmo down the street (even if he seems like a trustworthy guy) and don’t buy one off craigslist or eBay. You are way more likely to get scammed in a situation like that where it’s your word against someone else’s.
2. Look for sites that carry a money-back guarantee (like the one offered by toonstorm.com, for example) just in case something goes wrong or your new account gets stolen back by the original user (hey, it could happen!) Some sites also offer insurance on your purchases, but if you have a guarantee that probably isn’t necessary.
3. Always make sure the site is willing to offer you a REAL person to talk to. Live help is a hallmark of a well-established, legitimate service.
And most importantly:
4. NEVER use a bought account for bought gold or powerleveling (and this should be common sense, if you bought an account it probably has high-enough-level characters) If anything, use your own original account to make gold purchases and then mail that gold to your other account. This is the best way to stay off the radar and avoid that worst of sentences, being banned from WoW entirely.
That’s it for now, folks, stay tuned for more tips, tricks, and reviews in the coming weeks.
WoTlK – And Buy WoW Accounts Blog
28th November 2008
Hello again everyone!
Boy, have things been crazzzy around here. As I’ve previously posted I run a computer shop and we mostly focus on gaming, lans, mmorpg games, etc.
Well since Wrath of the Lich King has dropped it’s basically been non-stop gaming; people standing around watching, people standing in line to play for themselves and so on. Very exciting times.
There have been several regulars who have wanted to buy wow account. A few have been reading the blog regularly; and a few have even taken notes and given them to me to help contribute to the blog!
All in all everyone seems pretty excited about anything relating to WoW right now; the game is hot, the players are loving it and business is good.
On our reccomendation we had a few regulars buy wow accounts from known sites over the weekend, one of which was one we have previously posted about, Toonstorm.com – Again there were some great results. I’ve got a problem with just reporting about the same site week after week but in my business if I push a bad website and my clients lose out I’d feel terrible; since they’re the only one we’ve got a good review up for people who are buying now are going there to keep their money safe – and it’s working.
Our guy came in monday morning telling me he had about a pretty heavily geared paladin over the weekend for around 400$ (I believe there was another character on the account, some gold and mounts aswell) and was able to get it same day and start playing right away. The entire transaction took less than 30 minutes; the character was exactly as described, and even had more gold on it than originally thought; the name wasn’st some d00d name, and the account was in good standing.
So that’s another positive review for our friends at toonstorm.com and again I’ve got to press if you’re going to buy a wow account, buy it from them!
