A new feature so you can get the most for your money
30th May 2010
Hey everyone!
I just thought I’d drop a line to you all since it’s been a while.
Not much new out there in WoW land. It seems that even the folks over at Blizzard get to take a break every so often. After all of the patches lately, I really wasn’t sure when things were going to slow down. I get a little uncomfortable whenever there are tons and tons of sweeping changes in the game like that. There are lots of reasons for this, but a few extra in particular for folks who buy wow account.
When you get down to it, the account market is a liquid beast. It shifts and flows, reacting to every little change that comes along. When the new IC runs were loaded, prices spiked. During lulls like the one we’re in now, prices have a chance to come down a bit as companies are only competing against each other, instead of dwindling stock.
Now is also the time when great deals start showing up. Different sites deal with these things in different ways, but I think the folks at Toonstorm have had the best idea.
Basically, they’re offering bundled pricing on toons and alts together. For example, the first one that comes up is a level 80 human Death Knight. She comes with her Flying skill at 225, and a piece of epic gear for $124. In and of itself, this is a pretty awesome deal. But to add to it, you can throw in an alt on the same new account and CD key. They give you a selection of a level 80 Night Elf Druid for an additional $242.90 (about $50 off the regular price), a level 80 human Pally for $178.90 (also about $50 off), or a level 75 Night Elf Hunter for $75.90 (again about a $50 discount). Or, you can go for the gold and buy the primary with all alts for an additional $239 which is half price. So $363 snags you 4 distinct toons all on the same CD key saving you tons of money on that, plus you get a truly awesome setup. The Druid alone has 2 skills maxed at 450 and the full set of Malfurions gear. Myself, I’d be looking into this for me if I didn’t already have a decent druid.
Anyway, head over to Toonstorm and check out the deals. They’re pretty sweet.
Be cautious when you’re buying accounts
30th March 2010
I was afraid this would happen one day. I’m not the sort that likes to report bad news, but I heard something recently that I have to share.
I don’t know this person myself, but he’s a friend of a friend from another state. He had really been enjoying the new instances with his guild, but they’d lost their shaman recently. He decided he’d step up and fill the gap since another player had a good DPS that could replace his already. Plus, he likes the idea of the shaman, so it really seemed like a good time to try it out.
Of course, the thought of running a new toon up to 80 was a little daunting. He’d heard from his friend on my end about buying accounts being a good way to make that change without having to make your guild babysit you until you’ve leveled. He had some income at his disposal and figured he’d give that a go.
Problem is he’d never done any sort of research on that sort of thing before. He didn’t know any of the safe sites to buy wow account from. So he just went with one of the first ones he found figuring they were all the same.
He found out the hard way that they aren’t. He was told it would take about 2 weeks to get his account. That’s not unheard of if they’re still finishing it off and need the time to get it prepped. However, something that should have tipped him off right away was that they wanted a money order instead of a credit card. In fact they were quite insistent on not using credit cards or even Western Union.
Two weeks go by and he hasn’t heard anything from them, but he figured they were just keeping it quiet for safety’s sake. But the account never showed up. He tried to send an email through the site, but it was returned as undeliverable. About 2 days later the site was taken down by the host. Turns out it was a scam the whole time.
The moral of the story is to make sure you do your homework when you’re buying accounts. Only shop at safe sites like Toonstorm.
It’s Tax return Time!
27th February 2009
Afternoon Fellow Gamers!
It’s been a while again. Work and family has been keeping me pretty busy lately, not really leaving a large amount of time for doing much in WOW, except raiding. My guild was doing fairly well for a while, until our only Shaman stopped playing due to that netherworld called “Real Life”. It quickly became apparent that he would not be returning anytime soon, so I decided to take the opportunity to spend a bit of my hard earned income tax return, and go looking for a new WOW account with a Shaman that I could bring along on raids to help my guild out.
In the past, toonstorm.com has always had great prices when I’ve checked them out, and my buddies bought through them recently, they had nothing bad to say about them. I headed over there to see check on the prices, and boy, was I surprised. They were having a *HUGE* sale on WOW Accounts! 40-70% off their normal prices, more bang for my buck, what sane person would pass up a deal like that?
After looking around for a while, I finally settled on a Level 80 Draenei Shaman. She came equipped with eleven Epics, had epic flying skill, and her Alchemy and herbalism skills were both over 420. The original cost of buying that character was $1k, but with the sale they are having, I only paid $500!!
The order process was very smooth; I placed my order, and very quickly was on the phone with a courteous CS rep verifying my order. Since this wasn’t the first time I had bought an account through them, I already knew what to expect throughout the process, so there was no need for them to go into a detailed explanation. They let me know if I did have any questions or problems, that I was welcome to contact them at any time. We finished the order process through the live help chat, and twenty minutes later, I was online, checking out my new Shammy!
The CS staff so far has been very well-mannered and knowledgeable. The speed with which I and others I’ve sent their way have gotten our new accounts, is unparalleled. The safety measures that Toonstorm.com has in place to protect you I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere else. I won’t hesitate to recommend them in the future to friends and family looking to buy a WOW account!!
TOONSTORM OFFERING LEVEL 70 & 80 ACCOUNTS FOR WOTLK
6th January 2009
Welcome back, gamers!
I must confess, money has been a little tight since Christmas (I have a large extended family, hehe) so I haven’t put together the extra scratch to try a new service yet, but I recently checked in with one I have tried and liked, a site called Toonstorm.com. It looks like you can now buy WoW account with level 70′s and even 80′s so you can access all the end-game stuff in the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
(By the way: If you haven’t got the expansion yet, GO GET IT. It’s everything it’s cracked up to be, in fact I think it’s a little better than that.
I have been playing the hell out of my level 70 (now at 73) so I can get into Naxxramas, but it’s slooooow going at these upper levels. So if you can afford it and you want to skip right to the good stuff, now you can.)
Of course they also have lower level accounts, in all classes and races with varying degrees of good gear (depends what you want to pay really) so there should be something for everyone. Let us know if you end up buying an account there, we’d love to hear your feedback as well. Till next time, adios!
If you want to buy wow accounts – be safe!
12th December 2008
Hello everyone and welcome to the buy wow account blog!
We’ve really been gaming it up here, WoTLK is as good or better than everyone expected, if a Blizz Dev ever reads this blog – hats off to you sir/madam – hats…off!
I had one of my regulars come in last night saying he has been wanting to trade from horde to alliance for some time now (I guess on his server its pretty lop-sidded right now). Anyway, after about 30 minutes of chatting and mentioning the blog he decided to buy an account and test out the process for us!
Of course once he got to reading the blog he decided to go with a site we reviewed a while ago, but that was safe and easy – I guess I can’t blame him.
He’s decided to buy a lvl 80 character from Toonstorm.
Upon purchasing I have found something very unique about how toonstorm transfers accounts that other companies don’t do is actually transfer the character for you onto your own newly created account; making it 100% safe against chargebacks reversals etc – which take it from me is a real pain in the orc butt.
So the purchase of the new level 80 wow account is going full bore; he just made the purchase off one of the pcs here and I’m watching the process; in total it looks like it’ll take about an hour and a half to get the new account setup under his name and get it traded over safely.
Seems like a great way to do it and toonstorm is helping him through the entire process.
I’ll edit this post in a few hours and post the results – I suspect everything will go just fine.
==========================================
Ok it’s been about 2 hours now and toonstorm came through on the wow account, a totally safe secure transaction has given my regular the level 80 wow account he’s been wanting
Thanks again toonstorm and thank you guys for reading!
